Aled's Experience

Aled was born in the area and raised on the smallholding at which the business is based. He was the only son of the family, but had three sisters.

  • Studied subject such as Metalwork and Woodwork.
  • Made his first small trailer for carrying his sheep as part of his course work in metalwork.

After Leaving School -

Aled attended collage to expand his knowledge of agriculture and later on took over the family smallholding. Later still he took over the agricultural supplies business from his father.

  • Returned home to farm Llwynllwyd Fach, together with some rental land in the neighbourhood. He still has a large flock of sheep together with beef cattle.
  • Aled also started relief milking for several farms in the south Ceredigion and north Pembrokeshire area.
  • Took over the agricultural supplies business from his father on his retirement (although his father still deals with the day to day sales at local animal markets and a large number of the deliveries).
